FMCSA DATA, RESTORED
FMCSA reports are back.
Through Motus.
When FMCSA moved registration to its new Motus system, programmatic access to FMCSA data broke for most providers. ROX rebuilt it. We are among the first to restore FMCSA safety, authority, and registration data.
WHAT IS MOTUS
Motus is the FMCSA system that replaced the old registration portal. The transition cut off FMCSA data access for most underwriting platforms.
ROX pulls FMCSA reports through Motus, so you verify a motor carrier's safety, authority, and registration in one file, and keep watching it after you fund.
THE GAP
The Motus transition broke FMCSA access
FMCSA retired the old portal and the Unified Registration System in favor of Motus. For platforms wired to the old endpoints, FMCSA data went dark during the cutover. Underwriters lost a core signal on motor carriers at the worst possible time.
WHAT ROX DID
We rebuilt access through Motus
ROX's engineering team rebuilt FMCSA access on Motus, among the first to do it. You keep underwriting carriers on real FMCSA data while others wait for the dust to settle, and ROX keeps monitoring it daily after you fund.
WHAT ROX PULLS
The FMCSA data you underwrite on
Safety & inspection signals
Inspection and safety history so you can see a carrier's record at underwriting and over time.
Operating authority & status
Active, pending, or revoked authority, so you know a carrier is cleared to run before you fund.
USDOT registration
Registration details tied to the carrier's USDOT number, the identifier Motus carries forward unchanged.
Insurance status
Coverage on file, so a lapse becomes a same-day signal instead of a month-late surprise.
WHO IT IS FOR
Built for anyone underwriting carriers
Transportation factors
Underwrite and monitor trucking clients with FMCSA data built into the standard flow.
Freight brokers
Vet carriers on authority and safety before you hand them a load or a package.
Lenders & MCA funders
Anyone extending capital to motor carriers who needs current FMCSA data to price risk.
FAQ
FMCSA and Motus, answered
Motus is the FMCSA's new registration and management system at motus.dot.gov. It replaced the older Unified Registration System and the legacy FMCSA portal. Carriers are still identified by the same USDOT number, and existing numbers did not change.
The move to Motus changed how registration and authority data is accessed. During the transition, many providers that relied on the old portal lost programmatic access to FMCSA data.
ROX's engineering team rebuilt access through Motus, so ROX continues to return FMCSA safety, authority, and registration data. ROX is among the first to restore it.
